Pashmina is one of the finest natural fibres in the world and whilst this wonderfully delicate fibre is luxurious to wear it does require a little more care and attention than other fibres and with care can last a lifetime.
Try this recipe of natural ingredients to keep your Pashmina fresh and help keep the moths away.
HERB SACHETS:
2 oz (50g) each of dried Rosemary, Mint and Lavender; 1 oz (25g) dried Thyme; 8oz (225g) whole Cloves
Mix all ingredients together. Sew together two 3.5 ins square pouches on 3 sides of any tightly woven fabric, leaving one end open, fill with the dried herb mixture, tie the open end with a pretty ribbon and place in your drawers and wardrobes.
Just undo the ribbon refill with a fresh mixture each year, or when the fragrance is spent.
HERB AND CITRUS SACHETS:
Substitute dried Orange or Lemon peel for Lavender in the mixture for a fresh citrus fragrance.
